Psychology Questions

QShould I apply to grad schools wanting a minimum GRE score of 1200? My GRE score is 1170?

Some of the schools on my list has 1200 as the minimum , but I have a 1170 on my first try . I have a 3.8 GPA overall and ( have ) a 4.0 for my last two years of college when I graduate . I am also in two different honor societies for each of my major ( English and Psychology ) .

Should I consider applying these schools even though my GRE score is slightly lower than the minimum ? I know it hurt to try, but I would cut rates unnecessary applications if they are to pull out my application because I have the minimum score.

Applying a series of schools. The reason is that schools look at the whole application . For example , they just do not focus on results , they want a rounded student , which means that you see in your personal statement , recommendations , resume, etc. Do not " deny " yourself to college because you think you do not qualify , apply anyway and see what happens , because in the future you do not want to badger yourself with what ifs . Just be sure to submit the application package hard as you can and things will work out . No remorse .
