QDoes valerian help your insomnia?

I've been having insomnia since I was a child and now I have 14. But my insomnia has worsened much lately . I have tried other antihistamines and many zolpidem and melatonin and melatonin ended up making me have very irregular sleep / wake patterns .

Have you ever tried Valerian ... whatever works for you ? ..
