QWhat can I do with a masters in psychology besides counseling?
Hello. I just received my degree in psychology and I'm not sure if I should pursue a master's program . I found it interesting to study psychology , but I'm not sure I would enjoy it as a profession . Also, does anyone know what I could do with a masters in psychology , along with traditional counseling and teaching? The other things that interest me are the literature and philosophy , but really all I could do with it is to teach and do not want to be limited.
You make it sound as if teaching is limited, which is not. I suggest you look in the library of the Occupational Outlook Handbook that is put out annually . It describes many different professions , what education needed , salary , etc. Psychology Look and see what is on the list , I think you'll be surprised . You can go to research , teaching , counseling, social work , etc , etc
I recommend that you choose what you like and what you do about the money .
