Not important in a soft science . Take it as an elective ..... that will be fun and easy .... but it is a lot of " opinion" and not look as good on the transcript as another "science " or " math " or " statistics course would . I would choose a doctor - even a dermatologist - I thought there was slugging through chemistry and / or biology ( for more knowledge in pharmacy ) before I would choose a dermatologist who perhaps was lazy and had poured through a concentration in soft sciences . No one who knows much admires a soft science / discipline subjective .... I have three titles in the soft sciences ( Psychology and Education ) and I 'm one of the proverbial PhD is flipping burgers for $ 6 an hour . If you have the brain - do something useful with them in a hard science .

I do not know why not. It just gave a better well-rounded education that will help in dermatology .
