Cognitive dissonance is a discomfort caused by holding conflicting cognitions (eg , ideas , beliefs , values , emotional reactions ) simultaneously. In a state of dissonance , people may feel surprise, fear , guilt, anger or shame . The theory of cognitive dissonance in social psychology suggests that people have a motivational drive to reduce dissonance by altering existing knowledge , adding new ones to create a coherent belief system , or alternatively by reducing the importance of any dissonant elements . ... or must come to have the cognitive ability ?

So I'm doing research on what I want to make a run at the moment and that really attracts me is cognitive / behavorial psychology . I want to study the behavior , the mind , the science of mind and why we do certain things . What kind of jobs are real life that allow this? When most people think of psychology , they see someone telling someone what is wrong with them . I do not think I would be the kind of psychologist sitting with people and talk about their problems . What about providing someone with information about the study of it ? Ahhh , I think I'm still confused haha . Help ?

how would this be evaluated based on question mark 12: delineate and evaluate the multi-store model Atkinson and Shiffrin developed the idea of the multi-store model, which consisted of three different stores, sensory memory (SM), short-term memory (STM) and long-term memory (LTM). Each store has a duration, capacity and coding mode; visual, semantic and acoustic . Information enters the SM through sensory stimuli, where it remains for a short time, if you pay attention to this information is then transferred to the STM. Information contained in STM decays after a few seconds, unless tested or displaced by new information in STM. If the information in STM is tested deeply enters the LTM. LTM capacity has been accepted as unlimited duration and has proven, to a life time Bahrick et al. Although Atkinson and Shiffrin suggested that there are three different components, KF case study shows that there may be a different route to the LTM, KF suffered brain damage that affected his STM, demonstrating not follow the sequence information. However KFS study can also be used to show that there are different components. and research was conducted in patients with Alzheimer's disease has been shown to work reasonably STM tasks but not LTM tasks. In general, most of the experiments conducted to demonstrate the ability, the duration and the type of coding used, was carried out in a laboratory reducing ecological validity and increase the effects of the investigator, there was a situation in real life and if it was real life situation, the results could be different, for example: the memories that were directly impacting footprint in LTM without trial for criticizing both the MSM.
